Biobased packaging

Biobased packaging is made of non-degradable polyethylene. It can be made from renewable resources such as sugar cane, corn, rice, potatoes, wheat or vegetable oil. Based on this, biobased packaging can be divided into 3 groups:

• Biobasic polymers derived from biomass /sugar cane or starch/
• Synthetically derived polymers from bio derivatives - PLA
• Biopolymers extracted by biocatalysts microorganisms

The search for sustainable packaging solutions and the use of different sources of raw materials limits the product supply, but from biobased packaging we can produce:

• Biobased bags and sacks
• Biobased foils for printing and lamination
• Biobased foils
